LED Dance Floor Rental — West 14th Street, Manhattan
The challenge: The room came with its own strong idea already in place: a ceiling packed wall to wall with red balloons and trailing streamers. Anything we put on the floor either tied into that or fought it. A plain white floor would have fought it.
What we delivered: A 16ft x 20ft floor — 80 panels — lit in alternating rows of red and white, pulling the ceiling’s color straight down into the floor so the two ends of the room read as one decision. The white rows keep it from going murky; the red rows do the work.
Production lighting: This floor was built with our production-grade lighting spec — double the usual number of LEDs per panel. It is the configuration we normally reserve for film and television work, where a floor has to survive being lit and photographed rather than just looked at. Here it was a straight special order, and it is why the red reads as a saturated color in the photos instead of washing out to pink.
The last photo below is the reason we can offer it at all: the tops lift out, and the density of the strips underneath is visible. That is what the extra lighting looks like before the panels go back on.
